We test at your tap, then send samples to a Connecticut DPH-certified laboratory. One visit covers the whole panel you chose.
Report
Results come back in 3 to 7 days, mapped against Connecticut's own action levels and explained line by line. The report is yours to keep and re-test against.
Decide
If a result calls for treatment, the quote is built from your lab report, itemized and in writing. If your water is fine, we tell you that and leave.
Nobody else is checking.
Private wells serve Connecticut homes. No utility tests them; testing is the owner's job.

Frequently asked questions
What does a water test cost?
The standard test is $299 and runs on one visit through a Connecticut certified lab. Add-on panels are priced per panel: heavy metals +$95, VOCs +$110, pesticides +$210, PFAS +$415. Credited toward your install when you choose Bedrock for your filtration or softener system. Standard test fee credited on installation of a treatment system purchased through Bedrock Water. Add-on panels excluded from credit.
How soon can you come out?
We confirm your appointment within one business day, and the visit is built around your schedule. Evenings and Saturdays are available alongside weekday hours.
How long do the results take?
Field readings happen at your tap during the visit. The certified lab results come back in 3 to 7 days as a report mapped against Connecticut's own action levels, and we walk you through it line by line.
Who is responsible for testing a private well?
The owner. About 342,356 private wells serve Connecticut homes, and no utility tests them, so nothing gets checked unless the homeowner schedules it. (Source: CT DPH, 2020 census basis)
I am on city water. Is a test still worth scheduling?
Municipal water is monitored at the system. Not at your tap. A test tells you what your own faucet is delivering, including hardness, taste, odor, and the staining that shows up on fixtures and laundry.
Do I have to buy a treatment system?
No. We install only where a result calls for one, and we are not tied to a single equipment brand, so the recommendation follows the lab report. If your water is fine, we tell you that and leave.
